On Shining Without Apology

Shining Triggers Fear and Projection

When we shine bright, when we are luminous, radiant, and beautiful within, people often judge and attack us – trying to dim and control our radiance. This is akin to “Tall Poppy Syndrome,” which is where people who feel lacking in some way within themselves, attack and try to tear down those who they see as shining brighter, as more talented, or luckier than they are, rather than doing the work to embrace, embody, and allow their own light and skills to shine!

“We see in others what we most need to see and address within ourselves.”

While this principle is usually applied to the negative patterns and limitations we see in others, it also applies to the positives. When we see great beauty, radiance, or joy in another, this means it exists within us as well, but sadly, this is the seed of the attack upon the luminous ones.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.” ~ Marianne Williamson.

When we see these luminous radiant people, they reflect back our own great light, which, in some, triggers this existential Fear of Light and Power. And when some people experience fear, their instinctual reaction is to “Fight,” to attack that which they believe caused their fear.

Light Reveals

We should, therefore, consider what is underlying such a deep-seated Fear of Light.
Maybe we fear what Light reveals. We fear that the Light will make visible all the limitations and darkness within us, for all the world to see. Or that it will also cause us to clearly see our own inner darkness, and once seen, we will have to acknowledge and deal with it, rather than denying and ignoring it. The Light, whether the Light of Clear Mind or Light of the Soul, also destroys all glamours and illusions we hold about ourselves, making us feel raw, naked, and truly exposed.

Therefore, we fear our brilliance being reflected back to us because it makes us feel deeply vulnerable. And some people are more comfortable attacking others, rather than embracing their own vulnerability, not realising that authentic vulnerability is one of the greatest strengths a person has. It is a gift from Embracing the Light.

Light, Power, and Corruption

Another fear may be about the “Power of Light” and that it will somehow corrupt us.

“If you bring great power to a dark place, one becomes more powerfully dark.” Or…
“Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”

While these thought forms are true about the Power we call Will, they are not true about Light. Like Love, Light transforms or illuminates all it touches. Linking these thoughtforms to Light is the work of Dark Beings (DB), seeking to further cement their own power by keeping their dark places dark! If people fear Light and attack those who bear a great measure of Light, then the fear-filled do the work of the DB for them!

Certainly, wielding or radiating Light is a great power! And contrary to the above two thought quotes and agendas of the Dark Ones, we all know, deep within, that when we bring Light into a Dark place, the Darkness is banished or transformed!

Comfort or Profit in Darkness

If people would rather hide their darkness, attack those who are luminous, and actively reject or block Light from entering them, does this, therefore, reveal another possible aspect at play within reactive fear?
Could people be addicted or attached to their own Darkness, to their limitations, and to what is known and familiar? Are they more comfortable in the Darkness They Know, and too stagnant within it, to see and embrace the discomfort and joy within the Light of Change? It seems quite likely.

And we should not rule out the possibility that these fearful projecting attackers, may stand to benefit or profit in some way when the truly luminous are stressed, crushed, and unable to shine!
Even so, we who are Light Bearers must Stand.

Let Us Shine Together!

We must strive to hold ourselves True to our Light, and shine boldly, without fear or apology. For we cannot let our own fear, or the actions of others who give in to their fear, cause us to abandon who we are. We must keep shining, for if we stop, the world will fall into Utter Darkness!

But we must also be wise. We know that to live fearless and bold, requires a degree of security. Therefore, the best way to shine safely, is to band together with others of our luminous kin, to form Citadels of Light. To ground Even Greater Light, together.

The whole is indeed greater than the sum of its parts. So, if we come together, and our motives are Heart-Based and pure, the Divine will support our efforts, and pour even more Light through us. A group vessel is greater than an individual one. So, together, we can wield such Light as to Transmute the Darkness on Earth and allow her to finally become a Sacred Planet.

To assist in empowering inspiration and boldness, let me finish this article with the end sections of Marianne Williamson’s quote…

“We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do.”
“As we’re liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Let us all embody the Power of Liberation.
Let Light Reign and May we Shine Without Apology!
