It may be the 20’s, but don’t get in a Flap!

Some History – or more so “Her-story”

The “Flappers” were a movement of young Western Women during the 1920’s. They were known not only for their unique, now famous, dance style – but they were also social rebels! They flaunted their disdain for so-called acceptable behaviour. They wore “too much” makeup, treated sex in a casual manner, and flouted social norms. In their time, and in their own way, they really were the cresting edge of a wild counter-culture.

And yes this type of “flapp” is most useful to help break up old restrictive elements of societal consciousness.

But of course every concept is double-sided…

Contrast the 1920’s Flappers with a common phenomenon today: all those people out there emotionally worked up and in a flap, whining on social media and wherever they go – yet taking very little action to bring about actual constructive change! These are the keyboard warriors, the so-called trolls, and all those well-meaning types who see and speak, but actually fail to bring about useful change, due to lack of clear, grounded focus.

So many get swept into focusing on vast things they have no control over whatsoever. Focusing on issues they have no training or inherent skill to truly interface with; or get caught into focusing on So Many different elements that are not aligned to Love, that they become just as ineffectual.
The primary problem here, is people being overrun by their emotions such that all possibility for a balanced perspective is drowned out by the agitation of their duress or over-inflated concern.

Wisdom is really what is called for. And this is only possible by stilling the emotions, quietening the mind, and seeking the Intuition in the still centre of the Heart.

So Yes, don’t get in a flap – don’t lose connection with your Heart!
Don’t be a loose lipped gossip, speaking lots, yet saying nothing – of value!

But do be an historical flapper – and take action to oppose the fear, corruption and dark control in the world – all that is sadly considered acceptable by so many.

Q: What is the best action we can take?

Finding, embracing and living your Heart Truth.
Yes… The best way to protest against the malevolence in the world is not to get in a flap about it, but get in a flapp in response to it.

Be wildly, unashamedly, authentically Brilliant, Loving and Kind.
For every measure of darkness you encounter – choose to live with twice as much Love.

Borrow my “motto for living” as your own:
“The Bold and Fearless Creation of Beauty!”

I’m talking here about being a beautiful person within.
Recreate yourself with the authentic virtues of the Heart – benevolence, harmlessness, wisdom, dispassionate compassion, selflessness and true aspiration.

This is how we show the disdain that can change the world for the betterwe prosper in Love!

So Claim Love. Dare to Shine with True Virtues.
Love All – like the Sun – without discrimination, judgement or rejection – for these are qualities of Darkness!
We can oppose behaviours and choices, while still Loving (truly demonstrating Love and acceptance of) each and every person.

The consequences if we don’t?

Q: If we do not demonstrate authentic Love (Capital L), how will all those swept up in malevolence ever know what Love is?
Q: What chance will they ever have to choose differently, if they see or experience nothing but judgement and rejection?

So yes, stop all that lip flapping of ugly – and start dancing up a flapp of Love.

Be Defiant by Loving – Boldly and Fearlessly.

Go against the herd by “Daring to be Caring” – to all!

This is the flapper dance of the 2020’s.
Dance it boldly, fearlessly and beautifully!

In Loving Defiance
